Inline Coolant Preheater Built for Sprint Cars

Five Power Levels: Titan-P1 runs at 500W, 1000W, or 1500W — sized for smaller racing engines and karts. Titan-P3 steps up to 1000W, 1500W, 2000W, or 2500W for full-size sprint car engines. You pick the wattage that matches your displacement.

Waterproof Construction: After a race, you rinse the car down — the heater stays on it. Titan-P1 and Titan-P3 are sealed against water ingress, so post-race washdowns don’t require disconnecting anything.

Shock-Resistant: Sprint cars hit rough tracks hard. These heaters are built specifically for racing conditions — the internal components handle vibration and impact without failing mid-season.

Inline Installation — No Bulk: Titan-P1 and Titan-P3 fit directly into your cooling hose. No external tank, no 31-lb standalone unit. You connect two hoses, plug into 110V, and your engine preheats where it sits.

You get one shot at qualifying. A cold engine never delivers full power — oil viscosity is off, tolerances aren’t at spec, and you’re already behind before the green flag drops. Vvkb sprint car engine heaters plug directly into your cooling hose, heat your coolant to 149°F (65°C), and have your engine race-ready in 30–60 minutes — no bulky standalone unit, no 3,500W generator.

Why Your Sprint Car Engine Needs Preheating

Sprint cars racing on a dirt track

Cold oil is thick. Cold metal hasn’t expanded to spec. When you fire a cold sprint car engine, every piston, bearing, and cylinder wall runs on undersized clearances for the first few minutes — that’s where most engine wear happens.
Preheating brings your coolant to 149°F (65°C) before you turn the key. Your oil circulates properly from the first revolution, tolerances are where they need to be, and you roll to the staging lane with a fully warmed engine instead of babying it through the first lap.
For qualifying, that difference is the whole point.

Titan-P1 vs Titan-P3: Which Model Fits Your Racing Setup

Both heaters install inline in your cooling hose and run on 110V. The difference is wattage and engine size.

Titan-P1 — 500W / 1000W / 1500W

Built for smaller racing engines, karts, and ATVs. The 1000W version handles most applications. Connects to standard 5/8″ (16mm) cooling hose, or order with AN10 fittings for quick track-side connect and disconnect.

Titan-P3 — 1000W / 1500W / 2000W / 2500W

Built for full-size sprint car engines and larger displacements. The inlet and outlet ports sit at 90 degrees — useful when your engine bay doesn’t give you a straight run of hose. Connects to standard 5/8″ (16mm) hose, or order with AN8 fittings. Custom AN sizing available for both models on request.

If you’re running a full sprint car with a big-block or small-block V8, go with Titan-P3. If you’re on a smaller engine or kart, Titan-P1 is the right fit.

Installation: Into Your Coolant Hose, Done in 30 Minutes

You cut into the lower cooling hose — the one running from the radiator to the water pump inlet — and install the heater inline. That’s the whole job. No external tank, no separate pump, no rewiring.

Four things to get right:

  1. Mount the heater at the lowest point of the engine
  2. Point the outlet port upward so air can escape
  3. Bleed all air from the heater and hoses before first use — trapped air is the only common installation issue
  4. Use distilled water in your cooling system, not tap water

Plug into a standard 110V outlet. Your engine reaches 149°F (65°C) in 30–60 minutes. Unplug before you start the engine.

CE & TÜV Certified — Built to Racing Standards

Titan-P1 and Titan-P3 are CE & TÜV certified, with FCC and RoHS compliance. TÜV certification means an independent German testing body verified the safety and performance — not just the manufacturer’s own claims.

Vvkb has been manufacturing engine heaters since 1996. These aren’t adapted passenger car parts running in a racing environment. Titan-P1 and Titan-P3 were developed specifically for high-vibration, high-demand applications — sprint cars included.

You buy direct from the manufacturer. No middleman, no rebranded white-label product.

FAQ

How long does it take to preheat a sprint car engine?

30 to 60 minutes, depending on engine size and ambient temperature. Plug in before you head to the staging area and your engine is at operating temperature by the time you roll out.

Can I leave the heater plugged in overnight?

No. The thermostat cuts power at 149°F (65°C) and restarts at 113°F (45°C), so it cycles safely — but leaving it unattended overnight isn’t recommended. Plug in 30–60 minutes before you need the engine.

Do Titan-P1 and Titan-P3 work with AN fittings?

Yes. Titan-P1 is available with AN10 fittings and Titan-P3 with AN8 fittings for quick track-side connect and disconnect. Custom AN sizing is available on request for both models.

Can I start the engine while the heater is plugged in?

No — unplug the heater before you start the engine. Running the engine while the heater is connected creates air bubbles in the cooling system and can damage the heating element.
