How the Apollo-C1 Protects Your Engine at -45°C

Apollo-C1 5KW diesel water heater — 2520 stainless steel combustion chamber, rated to -45°C

Cold starts at -45°C don’t just drain your battery — they grind down your engine every single time. The Apollo-C1 eliminates that damage before you turn the key.

It burns diesel to heat your coolant to 60–80°C, circulating warm fluid through your engine and cabin heating system. By the time you start, your oil is warm, your coolant is up to temperature, and your engine wear is near zero. Output: 5KW / 17,000 BTU. Also known as a diesel coolant heater or diesel engine heater — it connects directly to your existing coolant circuit.

The European control chip runs 50% faster than standard water heaters — you get full operating temperature in minutes. Manual start or remote start: your choice. The 2520 stainless steel combustion chamber withstands 1,200°C, and the Japanese Kyocera glow plug starts reliably at -45°C, every time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What’s the difference between the Apollo-C1 and a diesel air heater? A diesel air heater burns fuel to blow hot air directly into your cabin. The Apollo-C1 is a diesel water heater — it burns fuel to heat your coolant, which then circulates through your engine and cabin heating system. It protects your engine from cold-start wear AND heats your cabin via the existing heating circuit.

Q2: What vehicles can I install the Apollo-C1 in? The Apollo-C1 works in any vehicle or equipment with a liquid cooling system — trucks, RVs, boats, construction machinery, and mobile cabins. It connects directly to your existing coolant circuit.

Q3: Does the Apollo-C1 also heat my cabin? Yes. Once the coolant is heated to 60–80°C, it circulates through your vehicle’s existing heater core, warming the cabin the same way your engine normally would. You get engine protection and cabin heat from one unit.

Q4: Can the Apollo-C1 run on gasoline? Yes. The Apollo-C1 runs on both diesel and gasoline, giving you flexibility depending on what fuel your vehicle uses.

Q5: What coolant temperature does the Apollo-C1 maintain? The Apollo-C1 keeps your coolant between 60–80°C. It stops heating at 80°C and automatically re-ignites when the temperature drops below 60°C — maintaining a consistent temperature without manual intervention.

Q6: How do I control the Apollo-C1? You have two standard options: manual start and remote start. A GSM mobile phone controller is also available as an optional add-on — note that GSM card format compatibility needs to be confirmed before purchase.

Q7: What’s the fuel consumption? 0.5 L/hr (0.132 Gal/hr) at full output. With 5KW / 17,000 BTU of heat output, that’s an efficient way to keep your engine and cabin warm without idling.

Q8: What certifications does the Apollo-C1 have? The Apollo-C1 is E-mark, CE, RoHS, and FCC certified — tested to international road safety and emissions standards. E-mark certification is the most rigorous certification for vehicle heating equipment sold in Europe.

Q9: What’s included in the Apollo-C1 kit? The standard kit includes the heater unit, wiring harness, fuel pump, coolant hoses, mounting brackets, and a controller. The GSM mobile controller is optional and sold separately.

Q10: Where can I buy the Apollo-C1? You can purchase the Apollo-C1 directly at rvheater.com. For wholesale or OEM enquiries, use the Request A Quote button above.
